ABS Consulting Engineering Manager Prem Sharma Presents Papers at AmCham HSSE & Rio Pipeline Conferences

Houston, TX – Prem Sharma, Engineering Manager, ABS Consulting, will present "The Application of Thesis™ in Effectively Demonstrating the Implementation of an HSE Management System to Control Major Accident Hazards" at the AmCham (American Chamber of Commerce of Trinidad and Tobago) HSSE Conference being held at the Trinidad Hilton & Conference Centre. The paper will be presented in the Technical Session on Safety, scheduled for September 20, 2007, at 10:00 a.m., and explores how the bow-tie concept has wide acceptance within the major hazards businesses for the assessment and demonstration of safety management system compliance.
During the Rio Pipeline Conference in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, October 2-4, 2007, Prem Sharma will present "Pipeline Integrity for Sustainable Profitability and Compliance." This paper discusses the pipeline integrity regulation requirements in the United States and how they can best be implemented to achieve reliability, sustainable profitability and regulatory compliance of pipeline systems.
Prem has a degree in marine engineering and has been with ABS Consulting for 23 years. During his tenure with ABS Consulting, he has served in several overseas offices and assisted many clients in the oil & gas industry as well as the petrochemical industry in developing and implementing safety and mechanical integrity management systems.
