ABS Consulting & API Establish Global Risk Management Training Initiative

(Houston, TX) The American Petroleum Institute (API) has contracted with ABS Consulting to offer oil and natural gas industry-specific training in process safety, environmental auditing and environmental, health and safety (EHS) risk management.
This API training initiative will include conferences, workshops and courses which will be offered publicly and privately in international areas including the Middle East, South America, China, Singapore, and Eastern Europe as well as the United States, Canada and Mexico.

These courses, to be offered by mid-2005, are an important component of API University – API’s comprehensive Continuing Education Program for Oil and Natural Gas Professionals. API’s PetroTEAM will bring accomplished industry experts to provide industry professionals practical experience in process safety, risk management, and environmental auditing. A Web site providing course information will become operational in April 2005.

ABS Consulting has previously provided API industry practice workshops in process safety. Adding risk management and environmental management to API’s offerings will address the demand in the international oil and natural gas industry for API training. ABS Consulting instructors bring many years of expertise to API’s members and customers.
